Connie Wyzalek is the Challenge Program Director. She teaches reading comprehension and math concepts to Challenge students. She received her B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University and a master's degree and an Educational Specialist degree from the University of West Georgia. In 2002, she earned an In-field Gifted endorsement from the University of Georgia. Before coming to St. Joseph's Catholic School, Mrs. Wyzalek taught in an Atlanta area public school system, where she served as a Kindergarten teacher, a reading intervention teacher and Instructional Lead Teacher. After the birth of her daughter, she studied the Montessori teaching method and worked as a teaching assistant at a local Montessori preschool. In 2004, Mrs. Wyzalek became the first PreK teacher at St. Joseph's Catholic School and two years later assumed her current position. She sponsors the Science & Engineering Club and the Coding Club and enjoys reading, gardening, and solving puzzles.
