Mrs. Phyllis Matthews is an instructional aide in PreK at St. Joseph's School. She was previously the bookkeeper and school secretary at SJS since 2012. She came to our school from Springdale Elementary in Bibb County, where she served as the school secretary for 7 years. Originally from Charleston, S.C., she graduated from MUSC. She and her husband, George, of over 30 years, and their two children relocated to Macon from South Carolina in 1998. Phyllis enjoys not only her work-week at St. Joseph’s, but also her hobbies; reading, dog-loving, traveling, and exploring the North Georgia mountains.
