A Few Words

Why Choose St. Joseph’s Catholic School

St. Joseph’s Catholic School, a private school located in historic downtown Macon, Georgia, offers a Christian education of the highest quality to children of all faiths in grades 2K through six. The faculty and staff partner with our parents to provide the best educational experience for the children. St. Joseph’s Catholic School affords a balanced yet challenging academic curriculum that integrates faith, culture, and life. Our students are taught to be responsible, independent, and enthusiastic learners.

St. Joseph’s Catholic School strives to build a strong academic foundation beginning with our preschool program. Our preschool offers children age two through four with a loving environment where they can learn, grow, and play. During the elementary school years, SJS continues to foster learning in a diverse environment that embraces a collaborative approach with parents. Students are taught in a variety of learning models where they are encouraged to be creative thinkers, problem solvers, and active leaders. St. Joseph’s Catholic School provides a seamless transition to Mount de Sales Academy where the Sisters of Mercy legacy continues with the right balance of academic rigor, faith-enriching programs, and extracurricular activities.

Preparing students to be future leaders is the signature of a St. Joseph’s education.

☘️ Today, we celebrate one of the world’s most well-known saints, Saint Patrick! Traveling all over Ireland for 40 years preaching and converting many, Saint Patrick used the shamrock ☘️ to explain the Trinity. He died on March 17, 461 and is believed to be buried in Down Cathedral, Downpatrick. In addition to being the patron saint of Ireland, he is the patron of engineers and the city of Boston. Saint Patrick, pray for us! ☘️
